The UN Behavioural Science Group fosters knowlege exchange and collaboration

Supported by the Executive Office of the UN Secretary-General and the UN Innovation Network, the UN Behavioural Science Group brings together over 5,000 members including UN colleagues from 70+ UN entities and 150+ countries, as well as non-UN observers. Founded in 2019, the Group fosters learning, peer-to-peer collaboration, partnerships and hosts practical discussions at the working and senior levels. 

 

The UN Behavioural Science Group also supports the vision of the Secretary-General and needs of the UN through activities such as publications sharing lessons from applying behavioural science; and bringing behavioural scientists from the Global North and South into the UN to work on projects through the UN Behavioural Science Fellowship Programme.

The Learners:
Beginners to BeSci

(Within the UN and beyond)

This audience includes UN colleagues and external individuals who are new to behavioral science or have limited exposure to its concepts and applications. 

  • Educational Content: Simplified resources, foundational toolkits, and beginner-friendly guides to introduce BeSci concepts.

  • Engaging Experiences: Hands-on workshops, webinars, and storytelling to make BeSci accessible and relatable.

  • Pathways for Growth: Clear steps to advance their BeSci knowledge, including collaborative programs and participation in projects.

The Practitioners:
Intermediate and Advanced BeSci Users

(Within the UN and beyond)

This group comprises individuals already applying behavioral science, including UN colleagues and external professionals. They range from intermediate to advanced practitioners.

  • Specialized Resources: Advanced toolkits, case studies, and evidence-based frameworks.

  • Networking Opportunities: Platforms for peer exchange, collaboration, and partnerships across diverse sectors.

  • Recognition and Growth: Opportunities to lead initiatives, publish findings, and contribute to global BeSci discourse.

External Partners

This audience includes external stakeholders invested in applying BeSci to drive global change.
